The Lucky Spur Ranch Wedding of Gabrielle and Ryan
October 7, 2022

Every bride I photograph on her wedding day is an inspiration to me in her own special way – some, leave a lasting impression and their wedding becomes the beginning of lasting friendships long after the celebrations are over. In a few cases, my connection with the bride may have started well before the wedding which makes the experience of photographing her on her special day all the more meaningful.

My connection with the Gabrielle started more than 10 years before her wedding when I first photographed her as a model and later did her maternity photo shoot. That history also acquainted me with her life story and how she and Ryan found their way to each other after their innocent crush back when they were only five and before life got in the way. The lovely Dallas couple were reunited after many years only to fall in love again as adults and tie the knot with a very interesting story to tell in speeches and toasts celebrating coming together. As their wedding photographer, I was lucky to capture and tell their wedding story.

To celebrate tying the knot, Gabrielle and Ryan chose the perfect Dallas area Wedding venue – Lucky Spur Ranch Retreat. Located in the outskirts of DFW, this rustic yet elegant wedding venue hidden between the hills and creeks of Justin, Texas, was a perfect romantic setting for the perfect romantic couple.

As a photographer in love with locations that are rich in rustic backgrounds, unique light and shadow combinations and moody picture style, I find a lot of inspiration in Ranch, Farm and Barn wedding venues – the Lucky Spur Ranch is no exception. From the bridal room to the scenic outdoor ceremony to the reception barn, the journey you take going through the final wedding album of Gabrielle and Ryan’s in these beautiful settings is magical.

As a Dallas wedding venue to a Dallas wedding photographer who is highly selective of his settings, Lucky Spur Ranch Retreat ranks very high on my list of favorite wedding locations. To top it off, a beautiful bride like my dear friend Gabrielle makes this one of my favorite rustic Dallas wedding storybooks I’ve ever made.

If you’re a bride in love with rustic wedding venues and in search of a photographer that gets it, drop me a note, let’s chat and let me capture the priceless moments of your big day.
